Boia De offers an American menu with Italian influences and a focus on natural wine. Located just north of the Design District, this restaurant seats only 24, reservations are required and go very quickly. The steel front door is not easy to find and only opens with an access code, beyond that door a rewarding experience awaits some lucky customers at this eight-seat counter.
Chef Shingo Akikuni sources most of his products from Japan; beautiful tuna slices, sweet botanical ebi and generous portions of uni are the highlights of a tasting menu that is never stuffy or overly reverent.
