Why Buy a Condo in Edgewater?

Over the past several decades, Miami has transformed into a multicultural haven—and as the city constantly evolves, so do its neighborhoods. Edgewater is the perfect example of that evolution. In the last few years, it has undergone a metamorphosis that has drawn the eye of many investors looking for both novelty and tranquility.

Edgewater: A real estate gem

Located between Miami’s financial district and the bay shore, Edgewater is still considered a real estate niche. The growing number of luxury properties for sale there is a true sign of the neighborhood’s promise. Beyond its ideal location at the center of Miami (just minutes away from Downtown Miami and Wynwood), Edgewater has a lot to offer: stores, restaurants, spas, parks, and more. The neighborhood is made distinct by its mellow atmosphere and is ideal for investors who want to enjoy a lively yet comfortable lifestyle.

Edgewater is a good neighborhood for investors. According to the Q3 report of 2020, the sales volume increased by 7% and the median negotiability dipped from 6% to 5%. The median sales price rose by 2%, so it is a good time for buyers to take advantage.

Where to buy a condo in Edgewater

- Biscayne Beach: Rising 550 feet and 52 floors, Biscayne Beach features 1-to-4-bedroom residences, penthouses, and townhomes, all with panoramic views of the water. Built in partnership with celebrity interior designer Thom Filicia, the building offers its residents high-end amenities (pool and cabanas, tennis and volleyball courts, restaurant, beauty salon, fitness center with spa) and is conveniently located near the causeway to Miami Beach.

- One Paraiso: One Paraiso is a chic and contemporary high-rise condominium with 53 floors and 276 luxury units and penthouses. With only six apartments per floor—all with stunning panoramic views—this is the third tower in the Paraiso Bay development. The building offers high-end amenities, such as a restaurant by award-winning chef Michael Schwartz, a private beach club, private tennis courts, two pools, a spa, and a fitness center. One Paraiso is less than a 10-minute drive from Downtown Miami and a 20-minute drive from South Beach.

- Elysee: Elysee rises directly from the shores of Biscayne Bay and sets a new standard for refined luxury with its masterful confluence of design, luxury, and waterfront location. Designed by world-renowned architect Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica, Elysee is at once instantly recognizable and discreet. With 57 stories, the building has a commanding presence, but houses only 100 residences (no more than two per floor) ranging from 3 to 5 bedrooms—the relatively small number of residences ensures that Elysee maintains all the intimacy and sophistication of a boutique-style building. Each residence has a breathtaking view of Biscayne Bay.

- Missoni Baia: Boasting an impressive 200 feet of frontage on Biscayne Bay, Missoni Baia is a one-of-a-kind work of high-performance architecture. Designed by the internationally acclaimed Hani Rashid of Asymptote Architecture, it offers a true residential experience. The building’s 229 1-to-5-bedroom residences are curated with Missoni fabrics, furnishings, and artworks that complement its modern architectural design. Residents enjoy amenities unrivaled in Miami, including an Olympic-sized pool and one of the city’s largest and most elegantly appointed spas.
