Coral Springs

Coral Springs, officially known as the City of Coral Springs, is a thriving city situated in Broward County, Florida, just 20 miles northwest of Fort Lauderdale. With a population of 134,394 residents according to the 2020 U.S. Census, Coral Springs is a key part of the bustling Miami metropolitan area, home to an estimated 6,139,340 people as of 2022. The city was chartered on July 10, 1963, and its development was primarily led by Coral Ridge Properties, Inc., which was later acquired by Westinghouse in 1966. Although the city's name is derived from the company, Coral Springs does not have any natural springs as they are commonly found in the central and northern parts of Florida. Despite this, Coral Springs thrives as a vibrant community in the heart of Broward County.
